July 7, 1741- Peter Lukens dies at the age of 45 in Horsham, Montgomery, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife, Gaynor (Evans), and ten children.

Lucken—luken—Family Records.—Miss Annie M. Daniels, of Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, contributes the following records of the Luken family, copied from the Bibles of Jan Lucken, who settled in Philadelphia County in 1683:

Peter Lukens was born January 30, 1696 in Germantown, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
On October 28, 1719, Peter married Gaynor Evans, daughter of William Evans & Elizabeth Brooke in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
By 1734, Peter and Gaynor had moved to Horsham Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, where they resided on 75 acres. The Quaker couple lived on Horsham Road, near the Horsham Meeting House. Horsham Road ran up to their neighbor John Bartholomew's property.

 Matthias Lukens dies at the age of 40 in Pennsylvania.
In August of 1700, Mathias Lukens was born in Germantown to Jan Lucken & Mary Tyson.
Jan Lucken had settled in Philadelphia County in 1683. Jan had an old Bible, published in 1595 by Peter Sebastian. In this Bible, he wrote :
"1700 the 13th of ye 8a mo. Mathias Lucken was Born."

On February 24, 1721, when he was 20, Matthias married Ann Johnson, daughter of Richard Johnson & Margaret Millan. Ann survived him.
His Will, dated 18 Sep 1741, grants property of two grist mills and 108 acres to son John.

A son, Dennis, is born to Dennis Conrad and wife, Ann Knight, in Horsham Township, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The child does not survive, dying in 1742.

Ann Roberts is born to Thomas Roberts & Rachel Livezey in Bristol Township, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

In 1710, he married his first cousin, Elizabeth Tyson, daughter of Reiner Theissen & Margaret Streypers. Their home adjoined that of John Potts at Sandy Run.
Elizabeth survives her husband, dying in 1765.

October 19, 1712- John Jarrett and Mary Lucken are married in Horsham Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
Mary was a daughter of Jan Lucken, the immigrant, of Germantown. John Jarrett was the first of his family in Horsham township.He probably was not, as tradition has reputed him, from Scotland, (" from the Highlands," one form of it says), but perhaps a son of one of the German or Holland company who settled at Germantown. Old records show his name spelled Jerrett, and this was no doubt a variation of Gerrett.
Jacob Gerrett, or Gerrets, was in Germantown in 1703, and in the Horsham assessment of 1734 John Jarrett's name is spelled John Garret. (He is assessed for 200 acres of land.)

May 9, 1716- Cornelius Theissen dies in Germantown, Pennsylvania.

The Upper Burying Ground of Germantown, sometimes called Ax's burying ground, from John Frederick Ax, who had charge of it from 1724 to 1756, is on the east side of Main street, above the Concord school. Here are buried many of the early settlers of Germantown and their descendants. The oldest known grave is that of Cornelius Tyson, who died in 1716. Judge Pennypacker takes this to be the oldest existing tombstone to the memory of a Dutchman or German in Pennsylvania.

April 6, 1716. July 27, 1716.

"In the name of God, Amen. I, Cornelius TYSON, of Germantown in ye County of Philadelphia, weaver, being sick and weak of body but of sound and disposing mind and memory, Thanks be to God therefore. Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament. First of all I recommend my Soul unto ye Hands of God my Merciful Creator and Saviour, and my body to be buried at the discretion of my executors. And concerning my worldly estate wherewith ye Lord hath Blessed my endeavors in this province; Imprimis, to my wife Margaret all and singular the plantation, housing, dattle, and moveables, during her natural life.
