The Worland Family in America and Beyond
I began my life in the Puget Sound area of Washington State, on an island filled with forests and wild rhododendrons. I was separated from my Worland family there at an early age. Recently, I was reunited with my family and learned of my heritage. And so, this journey to know my ancestors began. The Worlands, Gideons, Newtons, Conards... they were the colonists, the settlers, the pioneers. They fought in the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the Civil War. This is their story, and the story of a nation. -Deci Worland MacKinnon

Hi:
ReplyDeleteWilliam Harde couldn't have died at age of 50 in 1718 and come as an indentured servant in 1669. He would have been 1 in 1669.

(I descend from Ignatius Hardey)
Oops! Thank you, the William Hardy who came as an indentured servant in 1669 must have been his father William who was born about 1645 in England. Sorry about that, I must be more careful. Corrections and questions are always welcome, I hope to someday get it right.

The data posted on worldconnect.rootsweb, db=dworland, id=1583 shows in the Ahnentafel, Generation 4 "William Hardy was born 1645 in England. He was the son of Michael de Hardy". The Ahnentafel Generation 5 shows "Michael de Hardy was born 1530 ... and died 17 Jan 1618 ...". 1645 - 1530 = 115 years!! Several generations must be missing. Do you have any information on them?
