The Worland Family in America and Beyond

I began my life in the Puget Sound area of Washington State, on an island filled with forests and wild rhododendrons. I was separated from my Worland family there at an early age. Recently, I was reunited with my family and learned of my heritage. And so, this journey to know my ancestors began. The Worlands, Gideons, Newtons, Conards... they were the colonists, the settlers, the pioneers. They fought in the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the Civil War. January 14, 1645- My ninth great granduncle, William Hall, is born to William Hall & Mary Thomas in Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island.

January 14, 1666- My eighth great granduncle, Andrew Bacon, is born to Nathaniel Bacon & Ann Miller in Middletown, Middlesex County, Connecticut.


January 14, 1724- Nathaniel Peck III marries Alice Fish, daughter of Robert Fish & Mary Hall, in Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island.
A son, Thomas, is born to Hugh Foulke & Ann Williams in Richland, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

January 14, 1727- A son, Matthew, is born to Matthias Tyson & Mary Potts in Richland, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

January 14, 1733- A son, Thomas, is born to Thomas Shearman & Sarah Sisson in Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island.

January 14, 1746- A daughter, Rachel, is born to John Jarrett & Alice Conard in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, British America.

January 14, 1749- Joseph Wolcott, son of John Wolcott & Anna Sperry, marries Content Blakeslee, daughter of Ebenezer Blakeslee & Jemima Tuttle, in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut.

January 14, 1750- A daughter, Abigail, is born to Salisbury Sherman & Abigail Tisdale in Dartmouth, Bristol County, Massachusetts.



( Alice Fish is my second cousin 9 times removed. Our common ancestors are Robert Fish & Mary Hall.
Thomas Foulke is my second cousin 7 times removed. Our common ancestors are Aret Klincken & Niske Agnes Jensen.
Matthew Tyson is my second cousin 8 times removed. Our common ancestors are Mathias Dohrs &  Agnes Neesgen Op den Graeff and Coentgen Lenssen Coenis & Anna Entgen Thones.
Thomas Shearman is my second cousin 8 times removed. Abigail Sherman is my third cousin 8 times removed. Our common ancestors are Thomas Lawton & Elizabeth Salisbury.
Rachel Jarrett is my second cousin 7 times removed. Our common ancestors are Mathias Dohrs & Agnes Neesgen Op den Graeff and Thones Kunders & Elin Magadalen Tyson.
Content Blakeslee is my third cousin 7 times removed. Our common ancestor is Abraham Doolittle.)
