The Worland Family in America and Beyond

I began my life in the Puget Sound area of Washington State, on an island filled with forests and wild rhododendrons. I was separated from my Worland family there at an early age. Recently, I was reunited with my family and learned of my heritage. And so, this journey to know my ancestors began. The Worlands, Gideons, Newtons, Conards... they were the colonists, the settlers, the pioneers. They fought in the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the Civil War. October1737, Connecticut

October 5, 1737- Ebenezer Tuttle is born to Ephraim Tuttle & Hannah Pangborn in Wallingford, New Haven, Connecticut.

October 7, 1737- David Moss and Mindwell Doolittle are married in Wallingford, New Haven, Connecticut.

October 13, 1737- Daniel Moss, brother of David, marries Mary Watts in Wallingford.

October 17, 1737- Gershom Tuttle marries Lois Allis in Cheshire, New Haven, Connecticut.
John Doolittle marries Hannah Royce in Wallingford, New Haven, Connecticut.

(Ebenezer Tuttle is my third cousin 7 times removed. Mindwell Doolittle is my second cousin 8 times removed. Ebenezer is her first cousin once removed. Gershom Tuttle is my second cousin 8 times removed. Ebenezer is his nephew. Our common ancestors are Abraham Doolittle, Paul Peck & Martha Hale, and John Moss & Goody Charles.
Mindwell Doolittle and David Moss are second cousins once removed.
David Moss and Daniel Moss are my second cousins 9 times removed. Ebenezer Tuttle is their second cousin twice removed. Our common ancestors are John Moss & Abigail "Goody" Charles.
John Doolittle is my second cousin 8 times removed. Mindwell is his second cousin. Our common ancestor is Abraham Doolittle. )

1729- John Hardy is born to John Hardy & Barbara Allison in Charles County, Maryland.

George Medley is born to George Medley & Anne Tant in St. Mary's County, Maryland.

Francis Hopewell is born to Francis Hopewell & Mary Heard in St. Mary's County, Maryland.

(John Hardy is my first cousin 6 times removed. Our common ancestors are William Hardy & Elizabeth Hayden.
George Medley is my third cousin 6 times removed. Our common ancestor is Robert Drury.
Francis Hopewell is my third cousin 5 times removed. Our common ancestors are Robert & Rebecca Cole.)

1728 Maryland

1728- My seventh great grandfather, Archibald Pike, dies at the age of 70 in St. Mary's County, Maryland.

John Hardy marries Barbara Allison in Prince George's County, Maryland.

Elizabeth Clare Hagan is born to William Hagan & Eleanor Hanson in Charles County, Maryland.

Mary French is born to John & Monica French in St. Mary's County, Maryland.

Rebecca Darnall is born to John & Rachel Darnall in Charles County, Maryland.

Jane Neale is born to James Neale & Jane Boarman in Charles County, Maryland.

Bennett Hoskins marries Eleanor Neale, daughter of Raphael Neale and Mary Brooke, in Bryantown, Charles County, Maryland. A daughter, Mary Ann is born the same year.
