The Worland Family in America and Beyond

I began my life in the Puget Sound area of Washington State, on an island filled with forests and wild rhododendrons. I was separated from my Worland family there at an early age. Recently, I was reunited with my family and learned of my heritage. And so, this journey to know my ancestors began. The Worlands, Gideons, Newtons, Conards... they were the colonists, the settlers, the pioneers. They fought in the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the Civil War. July 1739, Connecticut

July 17, 1739- Martha Atkins is born to Thomas Atkins & Martha Miller in Middletown, Middlesex, Connecticut.

July 20, 1739- Josiah Ely is born to Deacon Richard Ely & Phebe Hubbard in Lyme, New London, Connecticut.

July 28, 1739- Elizabeth Clark is born to Joseph Clark & Miriam Cornwall in Middletown, Middlesex. Connecticut.

(Martha Atkins and Josiah Ely are my third cousins 7 times removed. They are second cousins. Our common ancestors are Deacon Thomas Wetmore & Sarah Hall and George Hubbard & Elizabeth Watts.
Elizabeth Clark is my second cousin 8 times removed. Our common ancestors are John Cornwall & Martha Peck.)
