Jan. 23, 1864- My great-great-great grandmother, Elizabeth Miller Gideon, dies in Dewitt, Illinois. She is buried at Woodlawn Cemetary in Clinton, Illinois. (She was the mother of Armstead Gideon.)
The obituary in the local paper, The Clinton Public, read:
January 28, 1864
DIED – In this town on Saturday, Jan. 23, 1864, Mrs. Elizabeth GIDEON, consort of George GIDEON, aged 72 years, 5 months and 7 days.
